 剛過了寶寶們的6.1大日子！今天讓我們一起來學習一些跟“兒童”有關的單詞。

 

child 

n. 兒童，小孩 

例如：child abuse（虐待兒童），childlabour（童工）

 

children

children是child的復數形式。

例如：children's playground （兒童樂園）

 

childish 

adj.

① 孩子氣的，孩子所特有的

eg：The little girlspoke in a high childish voice. 這個小女孩用尖尖的童聲講話。

②【貶】幼稚的，傻氣的

eg：Crying for things you can't have is childish. 想要的東西得不到就哭是孩子氣的表現。

 

childlike 

adj. 天真的;童稚的;孩子般的

例如：Though nearly at the age of fifty, he still retains childlike innocence. 

他雖年近半百，但仍童心未泯。 

 

childhood 

n. 童年，兒童時代

例如：They were childhood sweethearts. 他們原是青梅竹馬的戀人。

 

childbearing/childbirth 

n. 分娩，生孩子

eg：A period of acute depression can sometimes follow childbirth/childbearing.

分娩之后可能會有一段時間的急性抑郁期。
